ABOUT ME
Amy Talton is a certified life coach, trauma practitioner, and currently training as a spiritual director. As an adoptive mom, she has been studying trauma and neuroscience for over a decade. Her greatest experience has been her own journey with mental health struggles and dark nights of the soul.
After a career in government project management, she embarked on a new path of coaching and mental health advocacy. She is trauma-informed and trained in an evidence-based modality called Internal Family Systems (IFS). She currently works for a non-profit where she provides community care and facilitates a trauma recovery program. She is passionate about creating safe spaces and bringing trauma-informed care to every environment.
Amy loves learning about contemplative spirituality and she believes these ancient tools are a gift from God to heal and calm our nervous systems. She recognizes the need for soul care and wants everyone to have an experiential encounter with the love of God. The rhythms of spiritual direction, silence, journaling, lectio divina, solitude, and centering prayer have been critical to her spiritual formation.
She is committed to being a holy listener for other women. Her prayer is that all of God's daughters would find peace on their journey towards more healing and whole-heartedness.
